Para Mobility are very proud to now offer our specialised range of products to the New Zealand market. Having already manufactured and installed our Pelican Pool & Spa Hoist in Manukau Aquatic Centre and the Hamilton Waterworld Hydrotherapy Pool, increasing disability access to pools across New Zealand is our aim.

We are also providing the Pelican for the redevelopment of the Tepid Baths in Auckland along with the Lido Aquatic Centre in Palmerston North.

Para Mobility are an Australian company who manufacture a range of specialised disability equipment that can be tailor made to suit you requirements. Our products include:

Pelican Pool & Spa Hoist, Wall Mounted Disability Change Table, Mobile Change Tables, Travel (collapsible) wheelchairs/commode and floor hoists to name but a few.

Pelican Pool Hoist installed at Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre

Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre in Wodonga are leading the way in the access for all abilities by installing the Pelican Pool & Spa Hoist. The Pelican allows people of all ages and abilities to access the pool for much needed therapy and enjoyment. Manufactured here in Australia and to suit the pool environment the hoist is an excellent addition to the already successful centre. The centre has also purchased a Strengthened Platypus Pool Wheelchair which can be attached to the hoist for a seamless transfer between change room and the pool, also a great option for pools with ramp access.

Para Mobility are very proud to announce our new addition to the range.
The PELICAN Pool Hoist with spinal board attachment
The spinal board we have chosen is currently used by the NSW ambulance service along with lifesaving organisations across Australia. It is a lightweight carbon fiber material, weighing just 5kg the board can hold up to 200kg and will give many people access to the pool again.
Hydrotherapy is a very popular form of therapy due to it’s many benefits:

-Decreased muscle spasms as the muscles are able to relax
-Decreased pain due to the warmth and support from the water
-The buoyancy of the water relieves any gravity related issues
-Resistance provided by the water increases muscle strength
-Decreases swelling and odema
-Improves balance and stabilisation
-Enjoying exercise without the associated pain

People with the following medical conditions can benefit greatly from hydrotherapy:

-Back pain/sciatica/ lumbar instability
-Tendinopathy
-Osteoarthritis
-Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia

Para Mobility proudly manufacture the wall mounted change table. We manufacture it with 3 height adjustments and it comes in two standard sizes or we can tailor make to suit. With the benefit of folding away flat within it’s own frame, the wall mounted change table is perfect for those smaller change areas including pool areas, hospitals and homes.

This is our Easy Ladder in use at the Mt Annan Leisure Centre.
The Easy Ladder opens up your pool to everyone including the elderly, arthritic and pregnant swimmers! With no deck modifications the Easy Ladder can be used at more than one location and is easily wheeled between locations.
