Northern Beaches (Sydney) Council invited residents with disability, their carers and families to meet organisations that provide options for their NDIS plan on Wednesday 11 April, 10.30am-4.30pm at Dee Why RSL. Special seminars discussed planning for young children 11am, students and adults 1pm, reviews and appeals 3pm. Staff of the NDIS, the Local Area Coordination and Ability Links were available to discuss your personal situation.
The Para Mobility team attended this fantastic event and were able to showcase a range of products and solutions. The product range are used in many locations across the Northern Beaches of Sydney including at Council locations.
The purpose of the NDIS is to give people with disability right around Australia more choice and control over disability support services. It started its rollout on the Northern Beaches on 1 July 2016. If you’re eligible for the NDIS, you will receive funding on an annual basis to purchase the services, aids and equipment you require from the service providers of your choice. You can either self-manage your funds or have an organisation manage the funds for you.
